PRINCIPAL’S WELCOME

Welcome to Guildford Primary School.  Established in 1833, Guildford Primary is the oldest continuously operating primary school in Western Australia.  The school sits on Mandoon Wadjuk land and has been a place of learning for at least 40,000 years.

We are proud of this deep cultural history and strong links to land and country.  Our school community is united by our desire to give our students the best start to their educational journey possible.

We recognise that each child has their own strengths and areas of challenge and seek to nurture their social and emotional development as well as their academic progress.  Guildford Primary School has a very active and eager parent community and we maintain strong links to the broader community and past alumni.

Specialist programs are offered in Physical Education, Music, Science and Indonesian.  The school has rich sporting traditions and a strong student leadership program and voice.

Our experienced and effective teachers prioritise student progress and learning and utilise evidence based programs and pedagogies to support excellent academic results.

We are certain your child will receive and excellent education at Guildford Primary School and encourage families to join the school community and share in your child’s learning journey at Guildford Primary School.
